Can you reduce your weight even if you are in your mid forties?
"Yes, you can", says Priya Ananthakrishnan confidently.

Leading a very active life during growing up, weight has never been an issue for Priya. But things changed after marriage and childbirth! Before she could realise, she has started "emotional eating" due to work related stress and sedentary lifestyle.

Soon, she went from fat to obese to extreme obese. Long working hours and impulsive eating were not helping in any way. Shortly after, natural consequences of obesity - high blood pressure, severe asthma and hip pain - started to follow.

Priya had realised she was heading in the wrong direction. But the question was, could she lose weight in her mid-forties?

She says this with a sense of gratitude, "That's when I met my wellness coach from the Wellness Community. God bless them." She got introduced to the world of healthy eating, exercise and was able to control her emotional eating!

Today, after losing 18 kilos and 10 inches from her waist, she is a different Priya. She exercises for an hour daily and has significant control on her food cravings. She is brimming with excitement and pride when she says, "I'm fitting into my favourite dresses which I used to wear 17 years back!".

Having reduced from 99 kilos to 81 kilos, she confidently says, "I'll lose another 20 kilos in next 6 months. I'm only midway in my weight loss journey."
